Snowflower

By: Justin Ferko

In late Fall,

Rudbeckia opens to the first snow of the season.

Their face shining crystals in an aura of brilliance.

Refracting light from Sun and life energy from Earth

to your eyes,

to your heart,

to your mind,

to your body,

an offering, a prayer, a wish

from the heart of a flower:

May you know the dazzling cosmic brilliance of your own heart in every season.
